I am a track coach in PA so this bag has experienced many types of weather conditions. It is not waterproof, but it has held up well! It's also been nice for weekend trips and day hikes. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful  Great for everything, By This review is from: Osprey Flare Backpack (Sports) I've had my Osprey 24/seven Flare for a few years now.It's lightweight and the build quality is fantastic. At 24 Litres, I've packed for a 10 day international (tropical) holiday in it. It does look deflated when it's not full, but sits pretty comfortably on my back from empty to almost full. If you can over-stuff this bag, it swells up and becomes uncomfortable. The main compartment has a 'laptop' section, which will swallow a 15 inch laptop, though it is only lightly padded, so a laptop sleeve may be a good idea for extra protection. There's also a mp3/phone pouch and a small bits pouch. On the front, there's a top slash pocket with a keyring keeper, some pen loops and some small mesh pockets and a large elastic mesh pocket. "Water bottle" pockets on the sides round out the storage. Then there are the straps. So many straps I removed a few. |
