Not a big deal, right? Depends. On the whole, the packs are pretty similar, however, the 2011 pack uses Camelbak's new "Quick Link" system for ease of disconnecting/reconnecting the hose to the bladder. If you plan on using Camelbak's cleaning kit, or just cleaning the hose out by yourself on a regular basis, this new connector is pretty useful. You can buy a connector separately from Camelbak, but they ask $10 for that little piece of plastic. Not a great bargain anymore.The second issue is relatively minor, but in the picture of the graphite colored pack, the straps are shown as having a high visibility yellow on the interior surface. The pack I received is plain grey instead. Small difference, but one more thing that may be unclear by the ad's description. Now, it's a great running back, and I'm looking forward to trying it out for cycling; but for a new buyer, I'd recommend... This one was just right for cycling, which is what I sometimes need it for. The bottom zip pouch can easily hold a tube, multi-tool, and tire levers, and there are some mesh pockets inside the center zipper which can hold some co2 cartridges, and something to eat. At 50 ounces, it has more than enough water to get me through an hour's worth of activities in moderate heat (80-85 degrees). I'm a fairly heavy sweater, but I think that fully loaded, I could go 1.5 to 2 hours with this.Very light weight, it still has the right amount of cargo room to store essentials. I keep a spare tube in the small pocket and a personal First-Aid wallet kit in the larger compartment. Even with the resevoir at capacity, I hardly noticed it on, both when running and biking. Take your time to adjust the pack for proper fit. I first took it out while walking the dogs for 30 minutes before going on a run and bike ride. The chest shoulder straps are easily adjustable and can accomodate a large frame like myself (over 200 lbs). I have one minor complaint.
