For a relatively new seller, they did surprisingly well and I hope they continue to do that.As for the reservoir, it matches the picture of course and fits snugly into the reservoir pouch of my Blachhawk vest. Now, this reservoir can hold up to 100 ounces of water, and that's a lot of water - it's like drinking three large sodas from McDonald's or someplace similar. It has a hose that extends from the reservoir where you can bite it at the end and just suck the water out. Because it's a long hose, you might want to improvise a clever way to hold it in place; I use the utility pouch on my vest to curl it up in and it works. It's made exceptionally well, but just like anything else that can be filled with water, it still needs to be cleaned out almost every time you use it in order to ensure your drinking clean water. I was a bit concerned because my hydrapack was several years old. The resevoir did work although it had a few changes from the original. I am back in action using my hydrapack biking nearly everyday. It fits fantastically in my Blackhawk! backpack as well as my Hydrastorm hydration pack. The holes at the top are perfect for holding it in place in my backpack that has a hydration pack pouch. I have another bladder like this one except the ring that holds the screw cap on sometimes gets in the way and doesn't allow the screw cap to get screwed on all the way which causes it to leak. I haven't had that problem yet with this one, but it is easily solved by pushing that part all the way before trying to screw on the cap. This doesn't have one of those nifty handles at the lid that allows for easy holding like Camelback bladders do. They aren't necessary but are sure handy! This really is a great product even without the convenient filling handle. |
