If you plan on using it a lot, skip out on converting your bottle and just get one of those $25 actual pouch thingys. I do not have a bottle cage on the bike that I was riding, but I was wearing a backpack with pocket made for a water bottle. This worked out well because I could leave the bottle in the backpack and put this over my shoulder - I also put a velcro band around the shoulder strap and the tube to keep it from flying around too much. Because of the design it takes a little more suction than the standard CamelBak to get a drink, but it is not so much that it is a problem.I would recommend it for someone looking to do the same thing - most backpacks anymore have that side water bottle holder and the CamelBak bottle this goes with is really nice. |
